Paperless and Proud: UUCT’s Digital Order of Service

At the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Tuscaloosa (UUCT), we believe that living our values is about more than just words—it’s about action. One of our core principles is a commitment to the environment, and we’re always looking for ways to put that commitment into practice.

Starting this week, you can find the full Order of Service conveniently posted on our website.

Going Green: A Paperless Order of Service

In an effort to reduce our environmental impact, we’ve decided to move away from printed Orders of Service. Instead, you can now access all the details of our worship services directly from our website. This digital shift not only saves paper but also aligns with our broader mission to be responsible stewards of the Earth.

By eliminating the need for printed materials, we’re taking a significant step toward reducing our carbon footprint. It’s a small change that collectively makes a big difference, reflecting our congregation’s ongoing commitment to sustainability.

A QR code will be provided at the entrance to the sanctuary. This QR code will instantly connect you to the Order of Service on your smartphone or tablet. By scanning the code, you can follow along with the service on your device, reducing the need for printed materials and making it easier to engage with the service content.

Paper Copies Still Available

We understand that not everyone is comfortable with or able to use digital devices. To ensure that all members of our congregation can fully participate, we will continue to provide printed copies of the Order of Service for those who need them. Please feel free to ask a volunteer for a paper copy if you prefer.
